Just figuring that I should maybe get some classes on my schedule to get a better understanding of the technical aspects of photography. Obviously the choice of subject & whether or not something looks "good" will depend entirely on the viewer. I'd just like to understand it better & hopefully improve the shots I do take of things when I'm out & about on vacation, hikes, random places, or really bored in my apartment.
Plus, improving my education is a way to keep my mind sharp & also gets me out of the house.

The reason I'm so sick & pissed off is because I did it to myself. Even though I've worked with PCs & servers for years, I broke to cardinal rule of backups. Trust, but verify. I knew I had a recent disk image of my drive, so I figured I could just go ahead & run the firmware update for the drive in my laptop. Did I stop to validate my backup before running the update with the big bold note saying "WILL ERASE ALL YOUR CRAP"? Nope...

So the trip to Seattle was much more work than anticipated, but very worth the effort & exertion that was put in.
Only made it to two of the national park areas that were on the original plan, either due to weather, or due to getting my butt kicked by mother nature.
However, the views presented in those areas were phenomenal.
